CFMoto has a trailer wiring connector built into the harness. A CFMoto trailer wiring kit is available separately. The Chinese use a different plug from what we are accustomed to, but it works. While the trailer side of the harness had a 5 to 4 wire convertor built in, I removed that & used a 5 wire system, to have separate turn signals which are yellow. The LED lights are only 3/4″ but are still impressively bright.
I had planned on running an extra 12 volt power to the trailer, primarily for charging the Ecoflow River Pro power station if cloudy / inclement weather reduces charging from solar panels that will be mounted on the roof. CFMoto has a key on 12 volt power wire at the plug! WHOOOO HOOOO!!!! I do not yet know where I will put the 12 volt outlet, waiting until enclosure is on the trailer.
During the wiring process, I put the trailer at near 90 degree angle to machine. Due to odd location of trailer plug, I decided on a long connection to machine, with bungee keeping it high. I was concerned about potential contact with tires if wiring was lower, say attached at bumper. The trailer has a drain hole in the passenger front, which I used to run wire inside trailer. Electrical conduit stuff used to protect wiring outside, PVC pipe inside.
